I didn't make it to see the opening acts therefore I was near the back right on the floor, but still had a great view. I have to say that Modest Mouse was fantastic. Issac showed great energy and intensity (even played through his teeth at one point early in the show). He is truly amazing and very talented. He interacted with the crowd quite a bit, changed the setlist during the show, and said during the encore "let's play another one" (an encore of 6 songs too, the average has been 3-4 this tour). So I think he enjoyed the crowd.

This was my first time at the Uptown and second time seeing MM. I think the sound quality was pretty good, contrary to what people had been saying about MM's sound on this tour. Uptown is a great venue and is far better for acoustics than the fieldhouse or wherever they played in Boulder. The backup singing could've sounded better (and there could've been more of it like on the albums), but Isaac sounded great. At the end it was kind of hard to understand him (hard to anyway), but I think our ears were just shot.

The setlist was a lot of old stuff (thankfully) with a nice mix of "Good News" and "We Were Dead" for the newer stuff. The "Dramamine" extension sounded a bit like noodling to me, but the beginning of the song was awesome. I enjoyed the two new songs they played as well. I was happy for "Tiny Cities," "Third Planet," "Interstate 8," "Dramamine," "The View," and "Bury Me With It." "Float On" was a crowd pleaser as usual and it was great. They usually play "Satin in a Coffin" which is an alright song but I don't know why it's such a favorite.

I didn't experience what some people are saying about the crowd, except where I was not too many people were getting into it and one guy nudged me a couple times since I was dancing (not harming anyone) and he didn't like it. I don't know why people like that come to concerts, but whatever dude.

20 songs, awesome. Modest Mouse rocks. Oh yeah and vinyls were only like $15. My friend bought one.
